FIFA President Infantino Hands Soccer Jerseys to ASEAN Leaders

FIFA President Gianni Infantino handed soccer jerseys to 10 Southeast Asian leaders, Saturday, November 2, after he and ASEAN Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi signed an agreement to boost collaboration between sports and education.

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said Saturday, November 2, Southeast Asian countries must stick together in the face of a trade war that’s underway between the U.S. and China. He made the remarks at the start of a regional summit.

But as leaders of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) met in Bangkok, there was no sign they had yet finalized a planned trade deal backed by China that could create the world’s biggest free trade area.
